PAINT AGAIN showcase at 1219 Creative

July 7 2014

Oklahoma’s Native American community has made so many contributions in our state, including the visual arts and filmmaking. Join us on Friday, July 18th from 6-8 for a casual evening event to celebrate Native American film and filmmakers as the kickoff to the upcoming In COLOR film festival August 22nd and 23rd.

Special guest filmmakers Matt Barse and Mark WIlliams will present trailers to their upcoming film projects and talk about what it means to be a filmmaker in Oklahoma.

Our good friends at the American Indian Institute recently hosted a screening for I SAID I WOULD NEVER PAINT THIS WAY AGAIN as a part of their first annual Festival of the Four Winds, a celebration of art and culture of tribal nations in Oklahoma.  They're also HUGE fans of the Urban Indian 5, and were kind enough to interview all five of them, in addition to talking a little about the documentary.
